Marcia sent me some new Bobbi Brown products, from the relatively new Jones Road brand. The cream eyeshadow I reviewed was Just a Sec.

Jones Road Miracle Balm was one of the products she sent. Remember that Jones Road has a tagline “Clean No Makeup Makeup”.
What exactly is Miracle Balm, and what are its benefits? What is Miracle Balm? Jones Road’s website describes this product as follows:
Miracle Balm, the no-makeup secret: A wash of moisture that enhances and perfects skin. This light-reflecting product is as easy to use as it’s versatile. Use Miracle Balm on its own or over foundation to instantly refresh.
It’s a blurring product that hydrates, right? This product reminds me a bit of the blurring balms I used a couple of years ago, Yves St. Laurant Touche Eclat Blur Perfector and L’Oreal’s Revitalift Miracle Blur. They both created a lot of buzz at first, but then disappeared. These were products I was very excited about, but ended up using them rarely. I’m not sure why Bobbi decided to bring this product back.
How Does It Feel?
Miracle Balm has a sheen and is stiff. The main ingredients of Miracle Balm are castor/jojoba oil and beeswax.
It can either be used alone or over foundation. You can use it all over your face to add hydration and sheen. It also gives a glow. It can also be applied to certain areas you wish to conceal, enhance or moisturize.
It can be applied with a brush, sponge or finger. It says to warm up the balm by warming your fingertip, then break the surface.
The surface of my product has been so hard that it is impossible to break.
The product is packaged in a 3″ diameter large tub that contains 50g/1.7oz. This product contains 50 g/1.7 oz. This is a large amount of product. This product would last me many lifetimes.
Miracle Balm is available in nine shades. I chose Dusty Rose because that’s the color I would choose if it were for me.
Miracle Balm: My thoughts
Miracle Balm is not for me. Dusty Rose has no color at all, which is unfortunate because I’d use it to highlight my cheeks or as a blush.
This product has two major negatives for me: it is stiff and greasy. This product would probably smear if I applied it all over my makeup. Maybe in winter, it’s a good product to use on bare skin that is dry and untouched?
It doesn’t dry on my skin over time. Another negative is that it stays sticky.

Jones Road Beauty Products are only available on the Jones Road e-commerce website. You can tell that this product has been a success by reading the reviews of customers on the Jones Road website. The product was rated 4.4 stars out 5 from 9903 users. The glow it produces and the wash of colour is loved by many. Many reviewers purchased the product in several different colors!
Google reviews gave it a 2 star rating. They were much closer to my own experience.
