Top Lip Balm with Sunscreen Pick: Eco Lips for Sun Protection and Moisture
The summer is here and sunscreens are taking center stage. I will be using lip balm and sunscreen together this summer.
Protective Lip Balm
You should include a sunscreen-infused lip balm in your daily routine if you are an outdoor enthusiast like me.
This year I use eco lips with SPF. Eco Lips, which is made from organic and natural ingredients and is packaged in Plantpod tubes instead of plastic, is an excellent brand for summer.
Eco Lips has sent me 3 of its lightweight, sheer chemical sunscreens that have SPF for testing:
- SPF Sport 30
- SPF 15 Berry Flavor
- SPF 15 Mint
Sport 30 SPF
Eco Lips Sport 30 is my favourite of all three because it has a higher SPF. Although the Eco Lips website says that it has a light vanilla flavor, to me it is taste/fragrance-free. Perhaps they forgot the vanilla? It is lightweight and goes on easily. A great lip balm.

Flavored Sunscreen SPF 15
It’s also worth trying the Berry SPF 15. Pure & Simple Raspberry Lip Balm is what I use all year round. It doesn’t contain sunscreen. SPF 15 Berry has a similar texture but also includes sunscreen.

The Mint variant SPF 15 will be given to someone from my Buy Nothing group because I can’t stand mint. The same as Berry, but with spearmint and peppermint oils.
Zinc SPF 15,
Although I haven’t tried it, the coconut-vanilla-flavored eco Lips zinc SPF 15 is another choice. It is stated on the website that this product may leave lips with a white tint. However, if it’s rubbed in it usually disappears.
