Eucerin’s Advanced Repair Cream

Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream

Although I own a variety of creams, lotions and butters for my body, I still like them all. I continue my search for the perfect everyday hydrating cream that is fragrance free. I’ll tell you what my latest purchase from the pharmacy is.

Eucerin Advanced Repair Creme

The ceramides in the body cream are said to be able to reinforce the barrier of the skin. The skin’s barrier will be strengthened, allowing it to keep moisture and dryness away.

It’s funny, but I completely forgot about the fact that I used Aveeno Moisture Relief with Ceramides, Shea Butter, Plant-based Oils, Glycerin, and Petrolatum. Aveeno Skin Relief moisture Repair was good, but the tub made it more difficult to use. It was also easier to apply the Aveeno Skin Relief moisturizing repair lotion that came in a bottle with a pump. It didn’t contain ceramides but still contained petrolatum. My search for a solution continued.

Eucerin Advanced Skin Repair was on the CVS shelf when I used a coupon for 40% off. It was on sale because it had “ceramides”, “very dry” and “ceramides”. It came in an easy-to-use tube and was fragrance free.

The product claimed that it would “provide immediate and 48-hour moisture” as well as strengthen the skin’s barrier. It sounded good.

Eucerin Advanced Skin Repair contained many of the ingredients found in Aveeno Skin Repair Moisture Repair, but it did not contain petrolatum or methylparaben. The Aveeno had the same hydrating ingredients like glycerin and shea butter. But it had an additional ingredient called urea. This is a natural moisturizer factor that can help skin retain water, look plump and elastic, and stay hydrated. This article by Incidecoder explains all of the ingredients used in Eucerin’s Advanced Skin Repair in simple language.

Advanced Skin Repair contains AHAs as well (sodium lacetate), which means that if I use it during the summer I will need to wear sunscreen (although I do this anyway).

Eucerin Advanced Skin Repair has a great look. It is easy to use the tube. This medium-weight white, creamy cream has no scent.

The product is absorbed/dries without leaving a white or greasy residue. It seems to stay on my body until I wash it off, even though I’ve only used one application in 48 hours. It doesn’t make my skin look wrinkled or as dry as other creams. My skin feels very soft. It also provides a great base for applying perfume.

Eucerin Advanced Repair is a great product to try if you suffer from dry skin, like me. The product is made with great ingredients and it leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated and comfortable.

It’s not the first time I have used a body lotion or cream for dry skin. But I believe I found my go-to body cream that does what it says on the tin. Eucerin Advanced Hand Repair Cream is also on my list of things to try.
